VUFFLENS-LA-VILLE

Canton : Vaud

Armoiries de Vufflens-la-Ville

Official blazon

Parti d'argent à l'épée haute de gueules et de gueules à la clef d'argent, à la bande d'azur brochant sur le tout, chargée d'un lion d'or.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 1919.

The village historically belonged to the Romainmôtier Abbey and the arms thus show the arms of Romainmôtier in mirrored position and colours, over which is placed a bend with a lion taken from the arms of the Chabiez family, who had an estate in the village.
