Origin/meaning

The arms quarter the diocesan arms with a silver tower. The tower is taken from the aarms of the Togni family from Ticino, and is aslo derived from the arms of Brione (Verzasca), where the bishop was born.

The blazon on the diocesan website mentions that the first and fourth quarter are those of the diocese. Also the blazon describes different colours of the tower. The correct arms thus should be:
