The Maltese cross, which is based on the insignia of the Royal Guelphic Order, is common among badges of rifle regiments. The shield is based on the arms of the city of Regina, where the regiment is based and from where its name is derived. The inscriptions on the cross are selected regimental battle honours. “THE ROYAL REGINA RIFLES” is the regimental title. | |||
