The Shield is Blue for Infantry and Gold for Armor, the two ancestral Regiments of the Battalion. The Keystone symbolises assignment to the 28th Infantry Division (Mechanized). The Castle Wall symbolises Protection, Defence and Strength. The Sword symbolises the Warrior's Power and represents the command and Control of the Differnet Companies that make up the Battalion. The Star is for honours earned in world War II and the Fleur-de-lis for World War I. | |||
