Official blazon
- (1819) Van rood, beladen met een klimmende leeuw en verzeld in de regter bovenhoek van de letter L, alles van goud.
- (1857) D'azur, à une vierge tenant sur ses genoux l'enfant Jésus, et assise sur un tréne gothique, le tout d'or. Pour supports deux anges au naturel, vétus de longues tuniques blanches représentant à dextre la Foi, à senestre la Charité, et supportant chacun d'une main une couronne royale sommant l'écu; le tout posé sur un ruban portant pour légende: S. Beatae Mariae.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 28, 1819 and completely new arms were granted on April 20, 1857.
