BAUDENBACH

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim (until 1973 Neustadt an der Aisch)
Additions : 1969 Frankenfeld; 1971 Mönchsberg, Roßbach; 1972 Hambühl

Wappen von Baudenbach

Official blazon

  • (de) In Silber auf grünem Schildfuß ein roter Ziehbrunnen mit runden Säulen und Zeltdach; der Brunnentrog belegt mit einem von Silber und Schwarz gevierten Schildchen.

Origin/meaning

Even though Baudenbach received town rights in 1747 it did not use its own seals. The above arms were thus designed and granted on August 31, 1949. The arms show the typical local well and fountain, built in 1544. The small shield shows the quartered shield of the Hohenzollern dynasty, as Margrave Friedrich of Brandenburg-Bayreuth from this dynasty granted the town rights.
