Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on October 8, 1963.
The willow symbolises the village; an old small village, which has a new growing future. The checquered field with the crosier symbolises the fact that the village historically belonged to the "In der Abtei" (in the abbey) district of the County of Sponheim (checquered field).
