Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on November 19, 1954 and renewed on July 3, 1970.
The arms show a harrow which already appears in the late 15th century seal of the town. In the 16th century the symbol was described as a plough-iron.
Seal from around 1900 |
The arms by Hupp in the Kaffee Hag albums +/- 1925 |
