Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 24, 2003.

The arms show a compass pointing to the Northwest, making it a canting element. The compass has 16 points, one for each of the municipalities existing after 1990, which form the present municipality. The wheat grians indicate the importance of agriculture for the municipality.
