Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 21, 2005.

The arms combine an oak and linden tree. Both are common trees in the villages and local forests. Forestry and forest research have been of great importance for the village for centuries. The red and silver colours are those of Brandenburg. The number of leaves represents the number of villages in the municipality.
