Arms of Sindal

Origin/meaning

The arms were registered in 1974.

The arms show a scythe and a sun. The scythe is a symbol for agriculture and at the same time the symbol for the farmers from the region who, in 1534, fought to get King Christian II back on the throne. The sun is a canting symbol, Sin-dal, or Sol-dal, meaning sun-valley.
