SANTANA DA PONTE PENSA
State : São Paulo
Portuguese | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on December 20, 1977.
The spindle, threaded, is the attribute of St. Ann, patron saint of the city and the crosses evoke the foundation of the village, when crosses were erected and a Mass was celebrated.
The supporters show that coffee and cotton are important agricultural products of the region.
The shield is surmounted by a mural crown appropriate to a city and a scroll below the shield bears the Latin motto "CERTO AT FIDO"(I struggle and I have faith).
