SCOTS GUARDS, BRITISH ARMY
History: Raised in 1642 as Argyle's Regiment, re-raised as Scottish Footguards in 1661. Brought on to the english establishment as Scotch Guards in 1686. Scots Fusiliers Guards in 1831 and Scots Guards in 1877.

The Regiment uses the Star of the Order of the Thistle as their Badge.
