OBERURBACH
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Rems-Murr Kreis (until 1973 Waiblingen)
Incorporated into : 1970 Urbach
German | In Gold eine hängende blaue Traube mit zwei grünen Blättern. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1932 and are based on the seal of Oberurbach dating from the mid 19th century. The bunch of grapes indicates the importance of viticulture for the area.
In 1956 the State Archives proposed new arms, based on the medieval Lords of Urbach, but the council did not accept the new proposal.
