OPPDAL

Province : Trøndelag (until 2018 Sør-Trøndelag)

Coat of arms (crest) of Oppdal
Official blazon
Norwegian
  • (1982) I blått tre motstøtende sølv spisser fra hjørnene.
  • (1983) I blått tre motstøtende sølv spisser i form av et gaffelkors.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on February 19, 1982 and again on May 13, 1983.

The figure has as a theme a junction, as Oppdal is a major centre of communications. Several main roads cross here, and historically the area was used for gatherings, because of this fact.
