Official blazon
Italian blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 3, 1943.

The arms are based on a local legend, in which the city was invaded by a large number of snakes. Suddenly a flock of storks appeared, that removed the snakes and thus saved the city.
