BAD TEINACH
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Calw
Incorporated into : 1975 Bad Teinach-Zavelstein
German | In geteiltem Schild oben in Rot ein goldener Schalenbrunnen mit silbernem Wasser, unten von Rot und Gold in acht Plätzen geschacht. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on ??-??-1912.
The arms were designed in 1911/12 by the State Archives and adopted by the municipality. However, only in 1928 the municipality actually started to use the arms.
The base refers to the Zavelstein estate, to which the village historically belonged. The upper half shows a fountain and refers to the fact that the village is a spa, due to healing waters. Even though the village was known as a spa for many centuries, it was only developed as a health resort in the early 19th century.
