Un scut albastru, cu chipul Sfântului Ioan Botezătorul îmbrăcat în blană, totul de argint, nimbat cu aur, ținând în mâna dreaptă o cruce din același metal și ieșind dintr-un zid crenelat de argint. Șeful, micșorat, dințat, negru, este încărcat cu trei lacrimi de argint. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint, formată din trei turnuri crenelate.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on September 30, 1998.
The arms show Saint John the Baptist, the patron saint of the city of Siret; the chief recalls the territorial losses of historic Moldova.
