ORDIS
Region : Catalonia
Province : Girona
Official blazon
Escut caironat: de gules, 2 espigues esfullades d'ordi d'or; la bordura d'or carregada de 4 rocs d'atzur, un a cada angle del cairó. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.
Origin/meaning
The arms have been officially granted on 4th August 1987.
Canting arms: they show two barley ears (barley being "ordi" in Catalan). The chess rooks Azure on Or are taken from the canting arms of the Rocabertí family (a Catalan "roc" is a chess rook), the counts of Peralada, to which the village belonged.
