Origin/meaning

Bréménil is located in the bottom of a valley which is symbolised by the white pile. The suffix "menil" comes from mill, Bremenil having owned a grain mill on the Brême river, hence the mill wheel in the aarms. The star refers to the Tuilerie de la Boulaie, a part of the municipality. Finally, as the commune belonged to the Salm County, the two salmon of the arms of this county were added.
