Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on January 30, 1844.

The arms are based on the local seal, known since 1701. The wheel is taken from the arms of the local important noble family Von Bolanden. The letters are the town's 'initials'. The colours were adopted in 1844. The State Heraldic Officer applied for the arms without the letters and diamonds, but the arms were granted as such by the King anyway.
