German Geteilt; oben in Rot schräggekreuzt ein silberner Schlägel und ein silbernes Eisen; unten in Silber ein grünes Eichenblatt mit zwei Früchten.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 19, 2001.

The arms show in the upper half miner's tools for the different types of mining in the municipality (salt, stone, coal..). The oak leaf symbolises the forests in the area. The coloursa re taken from the arms of the historical county of Dannenberg, to which the municipality belonged.
