DALLAU
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Neckar-Odenwald Kreis (until 1973 Mosbach)
Incorporated into: 1973 Elztal
Official blazon
In Silber eine blaue Weintraube an grünem Zweig mit zwei Blättern.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 1913.
The arms show St. Michael, the local patron saint since medieval times. The small shieled shows the diamonds of Bavaria and indicate that until 1803 the area belonged to the Kurpfalz region of Bayern. The black cross is the cross of the Teutonic Order, which owned a castle in the village until 1668.
