In geteiltem Schild oben gespalten, vorne in Grün ein silberner Balken, hinten Rot, unten in Silber aus goldenem Dreiberg wachsend drei grüne Blätter (Laub). Origin/meaningThe arms were granted in 1596 by Count Sebastian Röttinger of Württemberg. The upper part shows the arms of the Welden family, as this family ruled the city from 1570-1840. The lower part shows three canting leaves (Laub=leaves). The hills symbolise that the city is situated on the hills around the Riss river.
