Origin/meaning

The arms show quartered the arms of the Diocese of Utrecht (cross) and the arms of the Dukes of Burgundy (Bourgondë) in the other two quarters. This combination can be found on the seals of the bishop and some tapestries. On seals his arms are slightly different from the arms of his half-brother David van Bourgondië.
