HOHENBRUGG-WEINBERG
State : Steiermark
District : Feldbach
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on May 17, 1982.
These canting arms illustrate the name of Hohenbrugg (hohe Brücke, high bridge), which is of medieval origin. Hohenbrugg-Weinberg lies near the former Hungarian border, a region where there was always trade and traffic (hence the bridge), but also the danger of raids (so fortifications were always necessary).
The vine represents the name of Weinberg (wineyard).
