Incorporated into : 1977 Beaumont

Official blazon

Ecartelé: aux 1 et 4 d'argent à trois fasces de gueules, aux 2 et 3, d'argent à trois doloires de gueules, celles du chef adossées. L'écu sommé d'une couronne à cinq perles.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 15, 1925.

The arms show the combined arms of the Croy-Renty family (see also Bever, Fourbechies, Sivry and several others). The estate of Thirimont became a possession of Antoine de Croy in 1453 and the family ruled the estate until 1668.
The arms are based on the 16th century seal of the local council which showed the arms of Croy-Renty.

The arms in the Koffie Hag/Café Hag albums +/- 1930

Literature: Servais, 1955
