Un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat. În partea superioară, în câmp de aur, se află o rozetă roșie, flancată de două opaițe arzând. În vârful scutului, în câmp albastru, se află 3 spice de grâu în mănunchi, de aur. Scutul este trimbrat de o coroana murală de argint cu 3 turnuri crenelate.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 9, 2010.
Burning lights represent the area's traditions in the exploitation of the methane gas field, the first discovered in the country and used for domestic lighting.
The rosette is representative of the values of local heritage, including the religious one, the motif reproducing a sign of the historical monument "The Holy Archangels".
Wheat ears mean agriculture specific to the area, the Transylvanian Plain.
The mural crown with 3 crenellated towers means that the town has the status of a city.
