The first quarter shows the book of the Holy Scriptures which founds the knowledge of life in God given by Christ, beginning and end of creation. The book also represents the study of Christian doctrine, the teaching of theology and the service of the Word of God which constituted his ministry. | |||
The second quarter represents a heart surmounted by a cross, symbol of the spirituality of Blessed Charles de Foucauld and distinctive sign of the priestly Fraternities Jesus Caritas of which the bishop is a member. | |||

The watercourse is the Chaudière River which runs through Beauce from Lac Mégantic to Québec.
