Origin/meaning :
The keys are the symbol of St. Peter, the local patron saint. The Agnus Dei refers to the chapter of St. Saviour in Metz, whoc owned a large part of the municipality in historical times. The base is a canting element, Altrippe, Alta Riva, means high bank. Literature :
