SEYÐISFJÖRÐUR

Origin/meaning :
These are one of the oldest arms of Iceland, devised in the 1920s, and one of the few truly heraldic arms. The arms show the local lighthouse and an anchor, both symbols of the fisheries, still the main source of income in the town.
