Arms: . Azure, three representations of the crown of St. Edmund, King and Martyr, Or; on a chief engrailed of the last an abbot's mitre between two fieurs-de-lys of the field.
Motto: Dominus mihi adiutor
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on September 25, 1929.
The chief shows an abbot's mitre. On either side of the mitre are fleur-de-lys representing the two homes of the monks (who founded the school and abbey) in France, Paris and Douai.
The division line which represents the sea which was crossed when the monks returned to England in 1903.
The crowns are the three crowns of St Edmund, the crown of an earthly king, the crown of chastity and the crown of a martyr for the faith.
The motto "Dominus mihi adjutor" means "the Lord is my helper".
