JORGE CARLOS PATRÓN WONG

Born : January 3, 1958
Deceased :

Bishop of Papantla, 2012-2013
Archbishop ad personam 2013

Arms of Jorge Carlos Patrón Wong

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms contain a cross and an M of Maria. The cross reflects Christianity and reflects the statement of the bishop : "I have learned with the people of Yucatan: that we should live with many small crosses every day, know how to cope with them without this diminishing the joy of faith".

The M ius the symbol of St. Mary and thus also a Marist symbol. The bishop was trained in Marist tradition.

The motto of the shield expresses three things: the life of Jesus completely turned to the fulfillment of the will of the Father, the response of Mary to the announcement of the Angel and the phrase of the Our Father.
