(de) In Gold zwei grüne, je mit einem roten Zinnenturm besetzte Berge, zwischen denen eine silberne, rotbedachte Kirche steht, über der der von Silber und Schwarz gevierte Schild der Hohenzollern schwebt.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1559 by Markgraf Georg Friedrich of Brandenburg. The arms show the city in a valley between two mountains, each with a tower. Between the mountains is the shield of the Hohenzollern family, Margraves of Brandenburg.
