In gespaltenem Schild vorne in Rot ein silberner Balken, hinten in Blau eine gestürzte silberne Pflugschar, darüber ein pfahlweis gestelltes silbernes Senseneisen.

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 1913.

The arms show the white bar of Austria and a plough iron and a knife. The oldest seal of the village dates from 1811 and shows the arms of Austria. The village was part of the Kürnberg Estate, which for many centuries was part of Austria. The shield on the seal is flanked by a plough iron and a knife. Both are older village symbols and indicate the agricultural character of the village. In 1860 a new seal was made, with the same composition. In 1906 the State Archives proposed the above arms, in which the elements were combined in a single shield. It took until 1913 until the arms were actually adopted.
