Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 13, 1976.

Elsdorf is situated in the historical Kuzziggau, named after the brothers Von Kuzzde in the Middle Ages. The wolf and bar are taken from the arms of the Kuzzde family. The lower part shows symbols for the forestry and agriculture in the municipality.
