Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 30, 1960.

The two lions are derived from the arms of the former rulers in the area, the blue lion stands for the Counts of Veldenz, the golden for the Dukes of the Pfalz. The mill wheel symbolizes the importance of the water mills in the village, which are already described in the 14th century.
