Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 14, 1982.

Talc is mined within the municipality at the Krughofkogel. The coat of arms attempts to represent the geological strata containing the talc. The Lebensbaum (arbor vitae, tree of life) may symbolise an old linden tree in the village as well as the importance of mining.
