Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on September 16, 2020.
Seefeld is located in the southern area of the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in the Hohenwestedter Geest natural area. The place was first mentioned in a document in 1447. In 1633/34 it was first given the place name Sehefelde and in 1649 Seefeit = "Feld am See" (field on the lake). With the construction of the Kiel Canal and extensive drainage measures, the lake was drained and the area was used for agricultural purposes. The division of the shield into green (field) and blue (lake) reflects thename.
The agricultural character is symbolised by the oats. The village is characterized by its beautiful old trees, in which the linden tree is of particular importance.
