  • (se) I svart fält en medelst vågskuror bildad sänkt bjälke ockh däröver ett varghuvud; allt av silver.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 25, 1955.

The wolf's head is a symbol for the ancient Viking settlement here, where, according to legend, the ships were decorated with wolf heads. The wavy bar refers to the Sipoo river.
