DONALD MARTIN

Born : October 6, 1873
Deceased : December 6, 1938

Bishop of Argyll and the Isles, 1919-1938

Arms of Donald Martin

Official blazon

Gules an anchor roped Argent.

Origin/meaning

The arms are probably never used by the bishop. They are listed by David McRoberts in a manuscript on all Scottish Bishops, to be published in 1978. It may be that these were attributed to the bishop by McRoberts, as there are no images known of the arms of the bishop.
