Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 13, 1997, but were already designed in 1941.
The eagle is the arms of Brandenburg and, with the lower silver half, is the arms of the Barnim region in which the village is situated. The other half show a pine tree as a typical tree for the area, as well as wheatears for agriculture.
