In Silber auf grünem Rasen ein sich teilender grüner Eichbaum mit goldenen Früchten, darüber schwebend der brandenburgische Adler mit Bewehrung und Kleestengeln in Gold, vor dem Stamm ein schreitender schwarzer Bär mit roter Zunge und Bewehrung.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 30, 1992.

The arms are based on the oldest seal of the city, known since 1347. The eagle is the eagle of Brandenburg, the bear is canting. The tree originally was a linden tree and is either a symbol of justice, or for the forests in the area.
