Escut caironat truncat: 1r. d'atzur, una tiara d'argent coronada i creuada d'or amb les ínfules d'argent franjades d'or; la filiera d'or; 2n. de gules, un mont de 7 penyes d'or somat d'una serra també d'or. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on September 28, 1984.
The papal mitre in the first partition is the attribute of the local patron saint, St. Cornelius, pope and martyr of the 3rd century. Collbató is situated at the foot of Montserrat, the holy mountain of the Catalans; in fact, the village was a possession of the abbots of Montserrat since 1377, and the second partition shows the canting arms of this monastery: a mountain and a saw (in Catalan "mont serrat" means "sawed mount").
