Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 12, 1994.

The quartered right half is taken from the arms of the Von Boineburg family who owned part of the municipality in historical times. The lily-of-the-valley symbolises the flowering river meadows of the Baier river and the nature in the area in general. The black saltire is the symbol of St. Andrew, the local patron saint and the St. Andrew's church, dating from 1740.
