Region : Catalonia
Province : Girona

Viladasens.jpg

Official blazon

Escut caironat: de sinople, un sautor ple d'or carregat de 4 pals de gules. Per timbre, una corona mural de poble.

Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 22nd April 1993.

The arms show the saltire or cross of St. Vincent, the local patron saint, charged with the royal arms of Catalonia-Aragon (four pales Gules on Or). The village had belonged to the monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes and, in the 17th century, it formed (together with Fellines) a royal municipality.
