Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 2019.

The arms indicate in the first half that the village was burned down by the French in the 17th century. The beech branch refers to the five villages in the municipality as well as to nature and forests. The lion is taken from the arms of the Counts of Sayn, to whom the village historically belonged.
