Region : Catalonia
Province : Tarragona

Vespella.jpg

Official blazon

Escut caironat: d'atzur, una espasa flamejada d'argent guarnida d'or acompanyada a la punta d'una faixa ondada d'argent. Per timbre, una corona mural de vila.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 9, 1994.

The flaming sword is the attribute of St. Michael, the local patron saint, and the wavy bar symbolizes the river Gaià, that flows through the town.
