Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially registered in 1981.

The arms show in the chief three mill-irons, which are a canting symbol (Mølle = mill) and also symbolise the former water mills in the municipality. The squirrel in the arms symbolises the rich nature and forests in the area.

Literature : Zeuthen, 2000.
