Escudo de prata, ondeado de verde, com pira de ouro, carregada de um galo negro, ousado, bicado, cristado, barbelado e membrado de vermelho, e, em ponta, de um livro de prata aberto, encadernado de vermelho, tendo brocante uma faca de vermelho encabada de negro e posta em barra. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro em maiúsculas : “ MAR - ESPOSENDE “.
